Taking place at the Emirates Golf Club in Dubai this week, Lee has had three finishes in 2nd place (1999, 2010 and 2012) and finished T9th when he last played here in 2015.

Lee joins Ian Poulter and Danny Willett for the first two rounds, with tee times of 07.50 (GMT +4) from the 10th on Thursday and 12.10 (later delayed)  from the 1st on Friday.

He recorded a 1-under 71 for the first round, with Jamie Donaldson leading on 10 under par and was 3-under for the day (-4 overall) at the 12th when Friday's play was suspended overnight due to earlier fog and subsequent darkness. Play will be completed on Saturday. His completed round of 69, saw him finish 4-under for the event, which missed the cut.
