Lee arrived in Shanghai on Monday for the WGC HSBC Champions at Sheshan International Golf Club.
His best finish so far, was 2nd in 2010. Last year he finished T20th on 3-under par.
Lee had a 10.05 (GMT + 8) tee-time from the 10th on Thursday with Soren Kjeldsen and Gary Woodland. The under-the-weather Lee finished T60th after carding even par 72.
He had an 8.55 tee-time on Friday. Out in par and with three birdies on the back nine (11,16 and 18), Lee's 69 placed him T37th on the leaderboard.
Lee teed off at 8.45 from the 1st with S.S.P Chawrasia and Zecheng Dou on Saturday. He goes into the final day in T43rd place following a 1-under 71, on 4-under par.
Playing alongside Chawrasia and KT Kim in the final round, Lee had to settle for a 1-over 73, thanks to a bogey at the last. Three under par for the event, earned him T51st place and â¬44,255 in prize money.
Russell Knox won the title on 20-under par.
