KLM Open The Dutch

September 2017

The KLM Dutch Open takes place at Spijk, The Netherlands from 14th September.  Lee won the event in 1999 when it was the TNT Dutch Open at Hilversumsche.

He plays the first two rounds with Thongchai Jaidee and Ross Fisher, with his first round teeing off at 13.25 (12.25 UK).Lee had completed his 4th hole (two birdies and a bogey), when play was suspended for the day, due to high winds and flooded fairways. He completed his round on Friday morning, making par at the remaining holes for a 1-under 70, He had a good second round, 6-under (65) for the day and is now in T4th position on 7-under.

“I am hitting the ball well. I have got my distance control back and the strike is getting better and better. I’m driving the ball in the fairway too which you obviously need to do and I feel like I am rolling the ball well on the greens so hopefully we can see a few more putts drop over the weekend." A number of players have yet to finish their round on Saturday.

Five birdies and a bogey saw Lee remain in T4th place on Saturday, now 11-under par and just three shots adrift of leader, Aphibarnrat.

He has a 12.14 start on Sunday and recorded a 69 to finish the event in T3rd place on 13-under par.

Romain Wattel is this year's champion, his maiden title, on 15-under par.
