The event takes place at Port Stewart GC County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. Lee finished T55th in the 2015 event at Royal County Down GC.

Lee had a 13.10 tee-time from the 1st with Tyrell Hatton and Paul Dunne on Thursday and had a disappointing result thanks to a triple bogey at 14 and double bogey at 16. His 4-over 76 could cause him to miss the cut for the weekend. He had an 8.10 start on Friday but his second round 73, 5-over par for the event, saw him miss the cut set at 3-under.
