Bubba Watson is defending champion at the Masters Tournament this week, which also sees the return of Tiger Woods.
Lee's best finish in the Masters so far, was 2nd in 2010, but he finished T3rd in 2012, T8th in 2013 and 7th last year.
His Mum and Dad will be supporting him at Augusta National Golf Club.
Lee had a 9.13 ET (BST-5hrs) tee-time with Miguel Angel Jimenez and Anirban Lahiri on Thursday. By the 12th, following a double bogey on the par-three hole, Lee was 3 over par, but was reduced to 1-over when he birdied 14 and 15, to lie in T41st place. Leader Jordan Spieth is 8-under par.
Lee had a 12.31 Friday tee-time.
With an almost albatross at the par-5 second, Lee moved up to 1-under par but added bogeys at 4,6,9,10 and 11 to go 3-over for the day. Birdies at 12 and 14 saw him card a 1-over 73, in T50th place and just making the cut set at +2.
Jordan Spieth remains in the lead, now 5 shots ahead of the field on 14 under par.
Grouped with Lahiri for the third round, Lee had a 10.15 ET start. He opened the round with a bogey but continued to make par at each hole, until the 12th, when he birdied four holes in a row. A bogey at 17, saw him sign for a round of 70 and now in T30th spot on even par. Spieth continues in the lead on 16 under par.
Lee who had a 12.20 final tee-time with Adam Scott, finished the event in T46th place, following a round of 2 over 74 (290).
