US Senior Open

Lee was invited to play in the 44th US Senior Open at Newport Country Club on Rhode Island.

He played the 1st round with Miguel Angel Jiminez and Jerry Kelly.

In the 1st round he opened with an eagle at the 1st. a birdie at 4 and 7, followed by a bogey at the next. On the way home he birdied 12, bogeyed 15 but birdied the next for a 4 under 66 and T3rd place.  He was pleased and said it was a solid start.

He had a 6.54 start from the 10th hole on Friday. He shot a birdie at the first hole, bogeys at 11 and 13 and then birdied 17. On the front nine he bogeyed 2 and 4, birdied 7 and made par at the last two holes for a total score of 3-under par and T16th place.

He goes out, for the third round with Thongchai Jaidee and Padraig Harrington at 1.54 (GMT+1), from the 1st hole but had a disappointig round when he scored a 5-over 75. Now 2 over par he is currently T42nd.

Lee went out at 10.52, from the 10th, with Stuart Appleby and Greg Chambers but play was suspended at the 16th due to heavy rain. He bogeyed 11, made an eagle at 12, birdied 16, then bogeyied 17. On his back nine, he birdied 1,2, bogeyed 3, birdied 4 and made par at the remaining holes until rain stopped play. Currently 3 under for the round, he continues with the final round on Monday at 8am (1pm GMT+1)

The final play saw another bogey and Lee finished on par for the course In T31st place
