Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship 2021

The European Tour gets underway with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship 2021, the first of the four Rolex Series events. It is also the event which sees Lee return to defend his title which he won in 2020 and ending the year winning the Race to Dubai title, twenty years after being crowned as European No.1.

Lee went out at 10.25 on Thursday at the 10th, with Rory McIroy and Justin Thomas and recorded a 69 (5 birdies and 2 bogeys),

eventually finishing T15th, as play was stopped due to poor light.

They tee off at 2.15 from the 1st on Friday. Lee was unable to complete his round until Saturday morning, when he finished on 73.

He started at the 10th and made 3 bogeys on the outward nine, followed by 2 birdies and 2 bogeys to finish +1 (75) and T60th position. Rory McIlroy leads on 13-under par.

Lee joined Soren Kjeldsen at 7.53 for the final round and made two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey (74) to finish 3-over.

 The winner was Tyrrell Hatton.
