This is the fourth time that this event has taken place at Real Club Valderrama, with Sergio Garcia himself, winning the last two tournaments.

Jorge Camillo and Sergio Garcia join Lee for the first two rounds.

They had a 9.05 (GMT -2hrs) start from the 10th on Thursday. Play was stopped due to the threat of lightning, after Lee had completed the 14th hole and was 2-under, but on completion of the round later in the day, bogeyed his last two holes, to finish par. Lee was unable to play his second round when play was again suspended due to the weather. His second round 68 placed him T6th on the leaderboard with Sergio Garcia leading on 7-under.

Lee made it to the 8th hole before poor weather stopped play but birdied four of the eight holes to end in second place, three strokes adrift of Sergio Garcia. Play continued Monday morning but Lee recorded a 39 on the back nine, signing for a 1-under 70. He finished T5th for the event on 4-under, with Garcia successfully retaining the title on 12-under par.
