DP World Tour Championship

November 2016

Lee returned to Dubai for the DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates. He won the event in it's inaugural year as Dubai World Championship in 2009 and has had some top ten finishes in the event since then, T3rd in 2010 and T5th in 2013.

He finished T42nd last year.

He had an 11.50 (GMT+4) tee time on Thursday, with Bernd Weisberger, and took the lead with a 6-under 66.

Lee had a 12.50 start on Friday with Julien Quesne and is just one shot off the lead (-8), following a second round 70. He joined Tyrell Hatton for a 12.30 tee-time on Saturday.  Victor Dubuisson took the lead on 13-under par while Lee is two shots back on -11 following a round of 69.

"Hit a lot of good shots out there. Gave myself a lot of chances. You know, could have been a bit lower, but 69 is a good score around this golf course. Hit a lot of nice shots, so I was pleased with that.Well, I'm 11-under par, 13 is leading, so I've got a good chance. That's what we were talking about after the first day, 66. Yeah, it's a good position to be in".

He had a final tee time of 11.25 with Rafa Cabrera Bello. Signing for a par 72, Lee earned T13th place and €114,452 in prize money.

Matthew Fitzpatrick won the event on 17-under par.

Lee finished in 13th place in the Race to Dubai with earnings of €1,790,028.
